Vestervind to Lead Norwegian Offshore Wind’s Poland & Baltics Working Group

Vestervind Contractors Partner & CFO appointed Working Group Leader for Poland & the Baltics in Norwegian Offshore Wind

Haugesund, November 28, 2025

Svenn-Børge Vatland, Partner & CFO at Vestervind Contractors, has been appointed Working Group Leader for Poland & the Baltics in Norwegian Offshore Wind.

Poland is rapidly emerging as one of Europe’s most active and attractive offshore wind markets, with a strong project pipeline and fast-moving industrial development. The Poland & Baltics Working Group has been established to support Norwegian Offshore Wind’s members in navigating opportunities in the region—by building networks, sharing market insights, and creating practical initiatives that enable business collaboration.

“I’m excited to take on this role and to support Norwegian Offshore Wind’s members in the Polish market. Poland is a true hotspot for offshore wind in Europe, and our industry should pay close attention to the important developments ahead,” says Vatland.

Vatland will work closely with Gyid Espeland, Business Development Manager at Norwegian Offshore Wind, as the Working Group strengthens its activities across Poland and, over time, the Baltics. He takes over the role from Christian Vistrup (Energy Consult Offshore Wind), who has played an important role in building the initiative and establishing momentum.

“We are very pleased to have Svenn-Børge onboard as we increase our efforts in the Polish market. His experience will be invaluable as this becomes a high-priority region for us,” says Gyid Espeland.

A market defined by ports, logistics, and execution capacity.

The region is particularly compelling due to the combination of:

  • high activity and a clear project pipeline in Poland

  • rapid development of ports, logistics, and industrial capacity

  • strong opportunities for Norwegian companies across marine operations, installation logistics, port/terminal services, and O&M

Vestervind Contractors brings extensive experience from advanced marine operations, project execution, and supply-chain collaboration—capabilities that align closely with the needs of offshore wind developments in both Poland and the wider Baltic Sea region.
